How up to date is your food safety knowledge? All food businesses are required to have staff trained in appropriate skills and knowledge in food safety and food handling.
TAFE SA offers this accredited short course designed to help you increase your knowledge of food safety.
Your practical component can be organised with the lecturer upon registration.

Topics Skills Covered:
> Legal requirements of food safety
> How to prevent food spoilage
> Pests and waste control
> Cause and effect of food poisoning
> Food handling practices
> Storage of food
> Personal hygiene

Approximately study time online is 6 hours (including knowledge assessment) and a 3 hour practical session at a TAFE SA campus - Regency Park, Barossa, Noarlunga, Berri, Pt Lincoln, Elizabeth, Mt Gambier & Pt Pirie.
